VENI Energy’s Portfolio Management service is based on the principle of benefit of scale and competent price hedging. The target is to deliver lower and more stable prices over time. We pool a large number of SMEs into joint portfolios, negotiating competitive terms for all. Due to the high total volume, our team of market experts can perform active risk management in a manner that is normally only available to large industrial customers.

The portfolio’s future consumption is hedged in parts over a period of up to 36 months ahead. This allows us to minimize timing risk and exploit short term opportunities in the market.

Based on customer needs and consumption volume, VENI can offer different hedging strategies within the service. The customer can choose between a more stable and predictable price development, or a strategy where price more closely follows the short-term market movements.

In VENI Energy’s standard solution we source fossil-free electricity, but we also offer 100% renewable origin if the customer so requires. Each year we issue documentation of our trades in Guarantees of Origin as proof of reduced environmental footprint from being a VENI Energy customer.

This is a tailored service offered to customers with a yearly power consumption exceeding 8 GWh. The service is based on the standard Portfolio Management setup, but with an option to include customer-specific hedging strategies. The service provides the customer with access to all relevant markets and products for hedging purposes.

Initially, we need to establish a common view of the customer’s risks related to price movements in the power market, and how the customer wants to be involved in the decision-making in the hedging and strategy work. Once this mapping and alignment are done together with the customer, it provides the basis for carrying out Customized Sourcing.

Tendering & Hedging is a tailored service, where VENI Energy tenders the customer’s volumes among the different suppliers in the market and selects the most attractive offer based on margin and terms.

Our team of experts will manage the electricity sourcing by hedging the price when the short- and long-term markets are considered attractive.

This service also meets all public procurement regulations. We ensure that all public procurement regulations are met in the tendering process.
